Focusing and collimating optics

One of the vital characteristics of light beam generated by a solar simulator is the alignment. To generate a parallel beam both lenses and mirrors are used.

The lenses are engaged in axial arrangements when the light beam diameter is not bigger than 800 mm. As for the non-axial arrangements, that are peculiar rathe for large-scale solar simulators, mirrors are commonly used.
